FWIW, the difference between these and the bullet connectors is the fit in the ground recepticle. The bullets are a tad loose, but people use them. I've also seen people use the Advance/AutoZone/Pep Boys crimp bullet connectors. IMHO, they don't work particularly well, either.
As per usual, I agree with Doc Entropy - electrical grease (and perhaps some bloodletting while chanting in tongues) is your best defense against poor grounds. Soldering is a good idea as long as you don't let the solder wick 3 inches up the wire......
