Bulb holders ... does it matter ...

..if I use a double pole bulb holder (reference Moss P/N 159-900) for a single pole application on my Bugeye. Seems that I have several new double pole holders and no new single pole holders (reference Moss P/N 552-120)?

The double filament bulbs have offset nubs so they align properly in the socket. Single bulbs are symmetrical, so they won't fit correctly. You could just use the double socket and a double filament bulb that has the closest wattage for one of the filaments and just wire that one in. Even if a single bulb would fit, the center contact would probably not line up with either of the contacts in the socket.

Makes perfect sense. Thanks. Trying to save a few $$. I have four new and two old ones for a double filament bulb and only one old one for a single filament.

Sound like an excuse for a new project car. Need to use up those extras.
