Bugs!

We were living in Lubbock Texas at the time, when my 6 year old son came home with a horny toad in his pocket, he pulls it out in the house to show his mom, she told him to get that thing out of the house! He told the wife that he's going to sell it and the wife told him sternly, to go put it back where he got it! Some time passed and he came running in the house with his older brother, jumping up and down with joy! He said, hey mom look at what I got, 50 cents! She asked where he got it, he said the lady next door bought the frog from me! The wife, not too pleased, went next door and wanted to give the neighbor her money back, she would not hear of it and said, I was so excited to see the boy so happy to sell me the frog, the 50 cents was nothing. But here's the kicker, both boys went searching for more frogs in hopes of making a fortune selling to the folks in the neighborhood, The wife somehow put a stop to that little escapade! Kids can be so funny. :highly_amused: PJ

Lots of crickets, both types and Cicadas. Mosquitos are worse than ever. Unusual amount of praying mantis too! Have not seen a lot of honeybees which could mean trouble ahead.

Spiders here Boss. Some grasshoppers but not a problem. Doug's been mowing so I think the grasshoppers aren't liking our yard. He mowed and trimmed today - takes 6 hours. He started when we first built mowing a "safe" space. He now mows almost 4 acres. His idea, not mine.
