Bugeyes for sale from PA on EBay

Country flag

Has anyone else seen all of the bugeyes listed today on EBay, from a small town in PA? It's an auction house, and it looks like they found the motherload!

I saw that... and Isettas too!

Can't seem to find them...

Thanks for the link, wasn't searching quite properly.

Interesting batch of vehicles, shame about the condition (though that TD doesn't look too bad). Wonder if it was some vehicle hoarder...

Too bad all those Bugeyes look so rusted out. Shame to see so many in poor shape.

That is so sad, but I think for the little they say and the few pics they show they may be overpriced.

Would be fun to go look around.

Item number: 350012276743 doesn't look bad, hard to tell from this distance but they say: "Probably in the best condition of all 10 Bugeye Sprites that we will be selling"

Is that the one with the hardtop?

No - it's this one:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:]1961 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite. Barn-find condition and, to the best of our knowledge, all original. 78,000 miles. 4 cylinder engine. Red exterior and red interior with white trim. VIN #ANSL 21624. Probably in the best condition of all 10 Bugeye Sprites that we will be selling. Believed to have been in storage since 1975.[/QUOTE]

I am going to that auction in person.
Maybe I'll come home with 1/2 a dozen bugeyes, maybe I'll come home with an empty trailer.

Let us know what you find out, Frank. I'm really curious what condition those cars are really in.

Go Frank Go.

You can mass produce them.

Take a look at Item number: 350012276962. Scroll to the bottom of the page where the big picture of the item is located and notice that the car for sale has another car right on top of it. For a better look at the top vehicle, simply select the thumbnail image for 'Lot #49'.

All this time and I just now discovered that Bugeyes were stackable.

Mike

WOW! That's pretty crazy. Especially all those micro cars. I looked at a bunch of them, but did one of the BE's have a supercharger?
