Is there any difference between the Bugeye Water/Oil Gauge and that from an early Sprite/Midget?

There is no earlier Sprite or Midget. If you mean later Sprite/Midget then yes.

That is what I was trying to say. Early Sprite/Midget (after the Bugeye). What is the difference, briefly?

OK, took a photo of mine (which is newer and doesn't technically belong in a '59 - it's my only newer one). It's a pretty common out used out there (and is later).Notice the double-lines around the perimeter. Also, I'm certain the "font" of the numbers is more clean-lined (or modern-looking).
