Hello,
I have a Mark 1 manual, but it has very few torque values listed - is there a source for torque values? In the meantime, can someone tell me the torque values for: 1)the brake backing plate to the spindle axle 2) bolt to wheel cylinders, and 3)steering arm to spindle axle? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

In my manual it lists the torque of the steering arm bolt at 39 lbs/ft and the others I have no listing however from experiance good and tight should be sufficient for the others.

As said above good and tight is sufficient. There are a good many places to look on the web for torque specifications. Most will all be based on grade of bolt, zinc plated or plain, thread size / pitch as well as if dry or lubed. Just one spot to look at is https://www.portlandbolt.com/technicalinformation/bolt-torque-chart.html compare one or more of the given torques given in the factory book (size of thread) to this site and see if there is a pattern that can be followed. Look at say grade 5 and see how close they match.
Just information to digest.
