Are the original bugeye steering wheels available? Any other nice options? Thanks, Jim
 
Last NOS wheel I saw had a price of around a grand.
Of course they are no longer made.
 
They come up on ebay every once in a while for $100 to $300 for used and worn ones. Just keep looking. I don't use mine, but once a year at one particular show, but I'm not giving it up.

Does anyone restore bugeye steering wheels? The cracked ones are usually considerably less expensive to purchase on E-bay.
 
Have you thought of restoring it yourself? I am pretty much a novice, but I restored my own steering wheel for my Bugeye. It was very time consuming, but I am very happy with the results. If I get a chance, I will post a pic tonight when I get home. I bought a kit from Eastwood that basically had just the special epoxy filler and the directions how to do it. I had to buy the special primer and paint myself. By the way, the ones with cracks are cheaper because it takes a whole lot more work to refinish them - you have to cut all the way down to the metal, fill it, and shape it.

I have a MOMO F1 wheel with a Jaguar adapter that I'll never use. Came with my XJS. It's actually very sporty looking and not that flashy, but I bet you could make it fit a bugeye with no problem. PM me if you have any interest.
