Bugeye side curtains

Hi,
Restoring 1960 Bugeye side curtains. Questions:
Does the forward plastic (trapezoid) slide? Does it have felts? I assume it goes in the outer track, which is narrower.
The rear plastic seems to go into inner track, and slides, and is surrounded by felt which is why it is wider?

My recollection is that it depends. Some early side curtains had one glass fix and the other one sliding. Later side curtains had both pieces sliding.
 
Forward panel goes in outer track, rear panel goes in inner track- otherwise you will have a scoop to bring rain into the cab.

My sidecurtains slide both ways as was the case way back when. The ones you get frpm moss have one part pinched so they only slide one way.
 
Weathershields had the front piece locked in place and a felt track but there were others. I have a cheap set that look like the ones sold by JC Witney and both pieces slide but there is no provision for felt. They are noisy but I kinda like the option to slide the front section open. Depending on wind direction I usually open them at the front when I want a little air.
