My Bugeye has nothing between the seat base(s) and the floor. So here's my questions.
Do both the passenger seat and the driver's seat go back and forth on the runners, or does the passenger seat stay stanionary?

I think I would need the wood strips, four lower rails and two upper runners with levers, and two upper runners without the lever - I'm comparing this to my 100-6. Am I right so far?

Where can I get the upper runners?

What's the story with the one L shaped bracket coming up from the floor on the passenger side?

My Bugeye (built November '59) has a stationary passenger seat. Passenger seat has L brackets on the bottom of the seat that bolt to the floor. The driver's seat is adjustable.
 
Hi, Drew - my Bugeye is also a 59, so I guess my one L bracket is really one of four, and I'm missing the other three?

My remembrance is that there were 4 small L brackets on the passenger side, each one having one bolt through the floor.

I'll check for certain when I get home this afternoon.
 
Thanks, Drew - If this is right, now I only need the brackets, and the lower and upper rails and wooden strips for the driver's side. Moss shows these parts to be not available, and VB seems to have the lower rail, but not the upper with the lever. I've got a upper rail with lever and lower at home somewhere in the garage, but I'm not sure they are for a sprite - I'm going to have to find them and see. If they work, then I just need the brackets, and one upper and lower rail (no lever). Sorry, I'm thinking and writing everything I'm thinking. thanks for looking,

I just made a few brackets for a guy with a Bugeye.
They are simple "Z" brackets. I think 1" x 3/4" x 1" (from memory of about a month ago.) He had to drill the holes. The wood strips are about 1.25" wide and 3/8" thick. Only the driver's side adjusts.

Rather than wood, I used the plastic stuff that they use building boats. It does not get water soaked and will last forever.

Go to a local sign shop! They use the same stuff as sign boards nowadays it is called Cintra (it is basically the same as PVC pipe, but pressed into boards!) and comes in metric thicknesses. You could probably pick out some "drops" from the dumpster for nada!!! :wink:

Sintra is actually a little softer and more flexible than the stuff they use for boats. You'll be able to mark Sintra with your thumbnail and twist it whereas the material they sell at boat shops here, "Starboard", is pretty rigid and dense. Both products are expensive-- even if you work at a sign shop. Check the dumpster for sure.
