I know he is looking for a good bonnet, and I'm sure he'll make it look nice again. I've never seen the reproduction steel bonnets to know whether they are good or bad. Do you know someone that has purchased one here in the states?
The kid grew up with the bugeye and watching his father never finish a BN2 project. So when the kid moved out on his own he went and purchased a "restored" BN6.
I thought it was very tasteful and produced well. They throw you a curve at the end, but there is allot more to this than meets the eye. Then again, I'm always a bit too deep.
Great to see that have that strong of a relationship. It wouldn't have gone well at all over here.
Thanks for the bonnet links. He is looking for one that is pretty solid. He found a pretty good one local, but he has to buy the whole car to get it. My suggestion was to buy the whole car (use the bonnet) and then sell it later to someone that could care less if it they had to use a fiberglass bonnet.
A friendly reminder - be careful what links you click on here. If a link is posted by someone you don't know, or the URL looks fishy, DON'T CLICK. Spammers sometimes post links that lead to sites that can infect your computer, so be mindful what you click.
