Bugeye rear brake springs???????

HELP: Is there a trick used to install the brake springs on my 1960 Bugeye? I have pushed, pulled, shoved hammered and you name it, still no luck. I was even thing of attaching a "come along" (not really). Everything is new except the springs. The lower spring is really a PITA. After coming in from my shop, just a bit ago, I even had a problem getting the cork out of my "medicine bottle". But I figured that out:highly_amused:.

Anything will help.

Thank You

:iagree:That usually works for me too.

It's been a while but I think the two answers you have are the way I've done it. Local auto parts stores probably have a special brake tool that has always come in handy for me on tricky brakes. Was a real battle sometimes before I bought that tool.

Kurt.
