$16K selling price on the B-J a few minutes ago.

That was a sweet little run at the auction.
The MGs were wonderful.

Lot 345 tomorrow is the next BE.

Just looked at Bugeye Lot 345. Nice enough car but not the quality of restoration and detail that I would expect from a car worthy of a BJ auction. A few things I noticed:

Wrong engine color
Bonnet stays painted black
Bonnet hinges and support brackets painted black
Inoperable heater unit that's not cosmetically in good shape
Firewall grommets missing
Pedal box painted body color rather than black.
Windscreen washer pump hole in dash but no pump.
Windscreen washer bottle bracket in place but no bottle
Ratty paint job on radiator
Brake and clutch lines not attached to firewall
Start knob appears to be missing

#345 went for $16,500.

Check out lot 915 on Friday. Giddy up!

Gesh Ray, ours should be worth twice that.

So the highly modified Bugeye went for more than the two that were more original.
Seems you can do whatever you want to the things and not really hurt the value.
I suppose there are other interpretations, I still like to see an original car.

The bigger Healeys went for some good money.
