Bugeye oil pan help

I am hoping someone can help me out. I have a Bugeye with a stock 948. Just got my gaskets and front and rear seals from Moss for the oil pan. The gaskets fit perfect, however the front and rear seals seem too long. Are these normally cut to fit so that they fit underneath the gaskets?
 
Cut long so they will compress and use a good gasket sealer/maker. Verify that the oil pan is flat and the bolt holes are not ‘puckered’. Attach the gasket to the oil pan with a gasket maker like Ultra Gray and let it set up on something flat like your wife’s granite countertop. If all goes well you should get a good seal.

Either that or you will be sleeping permanently in the garage after doing that to your wife’s countertop. Honey it was the only way I could do it.
 
Thanks for the help. I already glued the gasket and let it dry overnight. I will cut the seals so that they extend the same amount as the rest of the seal. Do you put sealant on the seals? I had a leak at the rear of the pan which is why I am doing this. I am using one of the neoprene seals for the rear this time as I think this is where it was leaking.
