Bugeye Nuts & Bolts

Any one seen a complete list of nut and bolts necessary to assemble a bugeye (excluding internal parts for all components)? Would like to round out my collection of grade 8 to have all necessary to put the old girl back together.

Eric,

There are only about 3 different sizes all fine thread I took mine to a hardware company and bought all new pieces. The body parts all use the same bolt. Truly the least expensive part of a rebuild.

Keep looking. I seem to recall that someone on one of the sprite list has a list. Might have been Frank, aka spritenut.

Have never seen one but am still looking.

I got this list from one of Frank's posts (I think it was his...) a while back:

Fasteners
- 10-32 pan head 5/8" long
- 1/4 x 28 x 3/4" hex
- 5/16 x 24 x 1" hex
- 3/8 x 24 x 1.25" hex
- SAE flat washers, split washers, and nuts for the above
- Grade 5 is what was original.
- Bolts are usually 3/4" in length

Found it at Gerard's Garage a few year's ago Fastener List . I copied the list to an Excel File and used it to go shopping.

Hey that's good stuff, I'll be need this as well. Thank you.

That list is a good start. I remembered seeing one somewhere. I have the beginning of a good collection but can use it to fill it out. Always hard to stop the reconstruction process to run out and get a missing nut or bolt. Was putting the rear suspension in last night and could not find the original bolts to use on the newly rebuilt shocks and was wondering what size I needed (eventually found them but that got me to thinking about getting an assortment that would cover most uses).

Much thanks for the help!
