The area where the muffler was attached on my bugeye was all ripped up when I bought my car. I worked the metal back to where in should be, but had to weld in a patch. So,how exactly was the muffler originally attached? It looks like the muffler was just hung from the floor in the rear, but this seems sort of flimsy. Was this area originally reinforced? Pictures would be great, but any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
