Bugeye headlight rim attachment part

I'm looking for the little floppy and fragile headlight rim attachment piece that fits on the bucket. While cleaning mine I managed to break the metal prongs and can't find them listed anywhere. A new bucket is only $14.95, but I'm trying to use all the original parts I can.
Thanks, Rut

Can you describe it better? I think I just saw one of those in small parts box and couldn't remember what it was for.

Trevor,
It's small, about 1/2" wide and has 2 'hooks' or tabs on it that fit in the bucket and it has a clip on it for the screw to go into. That allows it to move enough for the rim screw to locate the center without being too rigid. I wish I had a better description for you.

I think that is the thing I saw in my box. It was pretty rusty. If I make it back to the shop on Monday I'll dig it out.

Thanks, I do appreciate it!
Rut

Trevor,
I've searched online and looked at auto parts places without any luck. Did you have a chance to look for yours?
Thanks, Rut

Sorry, I forgot. I will check today.

Is this what you are looking for?

Hi Paul, how goes your Bugeye projects?

Trevor,
We have a winner!!! Please let me know what you want for it and I'll send you my mailing info.
Thanks, Rut

Just send me a mailing address and I'll drop it in the mail (no charge). I also found all sorts of other clips and pins I could not identify ... but there is they could have come from any number of different cars that I've worked on over the years.

 I truly appreciate this board.

Trevor,
PM sent and I can't thank you enough! Please let me know if I can return the favor.
Rut

No need to return the favor, just "pay it forward" to other spridget owners.

Rick; Proceeding very slow as you know it has been way to cold. I like to work on my projects, with the door open and the sun shining in, so it has been slow. Finishing some other things and maybe cut out the masonite panels for my interior today. Then upholester them and then back to the chassis. I guess I need to step it up a notch.

You and me both! It has been cold and rainy a lot, I got an engine and 5 speed last weekend which are sitting on my trailer in the back yard all wrapped up.

I have some fiberglass repairs to make on the one piece Midget front end I got and I have two tubs to turn into cars.
Still thinking about that fiberglass Bugeye front of yours.

Trevor,
I received the clip on Sunday when I got home and it worked perfectly.
Thanks, Rut
