Bugeye fuel pump help

I have a problem I am hoping someone can help me with. I have a 59 Bugeye with a stock 948 engine. I ordered a fuel pump from VB that the catalog stated went to my car. I received a fuel pump without the priming lever, so I returned it. I went on line and noticed Moss had one, and I could see the primer lever in the picture. When I received the new pump, however, it also was made without a priming lever. I am supposed to call back tomorrow, but my guess is that that this is just a cheap copy that saved the manufacturer a few bucks. Does anyone know where I can buy a correct pump or a rebuild kit?

I have one of those that I never fitted for the same reason. I changed to electric. The primer lever pump hasn't been available for a long time. You may be able to rebuild yours though. Gerard?? Peter??

Kurt.

So, it does not look like I am going to find the correct pump or rebuild kit for my fuel pump. I wrote a letter to Moss to see if they can make an accurate reproduction like they do for the TR6, but we will see what happens. In the meantime, has anyone ever tried taking parts off of the reproductions to rebuild their old pump?
