Bugeye Fuel Gauge

Hi everyone--

I haven't been on the board in a while--too busy enjoying the summer and the bugeye! I haven't put too many miles on, but great for just tooling around Newport Beach where I live. What a summer.

Anyhow, I need some help. Can someone tell me what the correct fuel gauge is for the BE? Does it say FG2530/70 across the top, or does it say FG2530/31 (notice the last 2 numbers are different). I have both, but need to know which one to install.

Thanks!

Mustafa

Hi guy.

Use the one that works and that has a face that matches the other insterments. No clue as to what is in my car.

Factory says it is 2A9089 or 17H1068 part number.

Mustafa....

The FG2530/31 IS correct for a Bugeye and should be used with tank unit FT5300/32.

The FG2530/70 is for a 1098 MKII and is used with tank unit FT5301/06.

Mixing the combinations will cause you headaches as they work differently.

Thanks. Peter.

Good to know. So this is why I was having problems with the read-out when I installed the x70.

Thanks Jack--hope you are having as much fun with Agatha as I am having this summer...
