Bugeye for Sale, asking price?

The father of a friend of mine has had this car stored away since the mid-seventies. He is now interested in selling it. It is located in the mid-west. His father is interested in determining an asking price. Any thoughts? I don’t know if it will start or not. It is obviously a candidate for a major restoration project!
I have no financial interest. Just trying to help a friend establish a place to start. Thanks!

I would think that just from looking at it that as a project car which it is that 6K would be tops, very tops.
How many actual miles?

Oh, it will not start without major work. Don't even try. It is much easier to do it right.

They have a section called PRICE WATCH that shows on line sales for the past couple of years. A good place to start but ultimately the market will dictate.

From the picture it looks pretty rusted under a couple of different paint jobs. I would expect you could get more on Ebay than anywhere else. I'm in the market for a bugeye project, but I could go no higher than $1800 for something with that much rust. If all the numbers match it might be of interest to someone wanting to restore a car to original specifications.

WHERE (town) is it, Lin?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Are those little things really worth THAT much in THAT condition?
