I have decided to powdercoat my ragtop frame,and I need some advice. The part of the frame that fits into the support bracket appears to be spring loaded. How do I get this apart so that I can powdercoat this portion? Has anyone powdercoated the frame before, and how far apart did you take it before you painted? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

That assembly does not come apart. It can be powder coated without disassembly. The color is light gray for that frame.
