Bugeye + 1275 + Tach Drive

I have not received my tach cable yet but looking at the fit of everything it looks like it will be nearly impossible to get the tach drive and cable to fit with the 1275 and distributor. Am I just worrying for no reason or is there something I need to know?

Surely if this were an issue I would have read about it by now....

... but I think I remember someone having problems when they used too short of a belt/wrong adjustment bracket. Or maybe that was a different car.

I also have a mech-tach on my 1275, works like a charm

Heres an earlier shot of my engine with generator. Does it look like my belts to short compared to what you guys have?

hard to tell from that angle. don't forget that the drive adapter has an offset.

I do notice that you have the "big" (racing) pulley on your generator. Is that correct (ie will it read-out correctly) or are you supposed to have the normal one?
Bill

That looks like the correct pully.
