Bugatti Veyron hits 246mph on public road!

Holy cow... good thing a small animal didn't cross the road then. I wonder what bugs do on its windscreen? :playful:

I think I've read that this car will go through it's "stock" tires in something like 15 minutes at that speed.
 
I've read that too somewhere. Also, at that speed you'd better have closely spaced gas stations!
 
Interesting, too, that I don't think of those winter-damaged Idaho roads as all that good... but perhaps this one was recently re-paved.

Sounds like an aircraft.
 
On the Top Gear episode that featured the Veyron, they said at that speed, the regular tires wear out in 15 minutes but that was OK, because it runs out of gas in 12 minutes!
 
At 246mph you really have to plan ahead for your turn signals :smile:

LOL And the turns produce 10 G's so one passes out... which makes control a bit more difficult.
