Bug Eye Heater Switch Help

I am installing the heater switch in my 60' Bug Eye and am having difficulty getting it to operate.
I checked with VM and could not get continuity ultimately took it apart and cleaned up the innards, nothing really appeared abnormal. Putting it back together I am having difficulty getting it to turn properly, sometimes it will turn then when pocked together it won;t turn at all.

Does any have or know of a schematic drawing of the switch that reveals the insides and the operation, I would be grateful if someone could share this.

I recall the switch turns to power up the fan and pulls to close the flap. Any experiences and information will be welcomed.

Thanks

You can only turn on the fan when knob is pushed all of the way in. With Air Tube in place if you are moving there is generally enough warm air coming through that heater tube to run you out of the car. So if fan runs / Continuity across the switch when knob pushed all the way in, switch is operating as designed.

They are really quite fragile when you examine them. I've rebuilt a few, but be prepared for some small springs and detent balls.
