Bug Eye Bonnet Removal

A couple of months back there was a discussion on how BE owners manage single handedly to remove the bonnet. There were several posts regarding using a sling and a hoist or using a stand that was designed for a Mazda or similar Hood stand. The issue was that the hood stand seemed to be for storing the bonnet.
I built a frame that slides under the bonnet while it is raised up, front hinged setup, using two Harbor Freight furniture dollies, 2 pieces of Al angle, 2 pieces of Al flat, some scrap wood, and some left over carpeting.
I guess the total cost was less than $50.
The frame slides under the bonnet and then then you remove the hinge bolts. The bonnet can then be rolled around the shop.

In my case I needed to make some repairs on the radiator inlet framework which is also the main support for the front hinge system.
It only took 30 min to reinstall the bonnet on the car, mainly due to remembering how the bolts went.
