BT7 Hood

Hi All

I got my BT7 hood. I was looking for some pictures on books but I still have some concerns about the installation of the hood, mainly how to install the hood with the wood bow and the finisher aluminium plate.

Did anyone make this installation before,

Thanks

I did about 30 years ago on my old 100/6, did not have anything to go on just the existing hood.

From memory, I clipped the wooden bow to the top of the windscreen, fixed the hood onto the car at the back ( mine came with all studs and inserts already fitted ) and streched it over the wooden bow. ( make sure that the hood is warmed up first - you should be alright in Spain leave it out in the sun for a while ) From memory I tacked it into position with a few tin tacks ( small nails for upholstery) and then secured it properly with the finishing strip, then uncliping the bow from the windscreen I tucked the spare material under the bow and fitted the Aluminium and rubber seal.

Hope this is of some help

Bob
