BT7 Hardtop Restoration

I am looking to restore a BT7 hardtop. I know I can buy the seals from Moss (when they open again) but where can I buy the headliner material? Is there also another source for the seals they are so expensive. I remember John Skinner I think in UK, but I did a search, but could not find the thread?
Any Ideas?

Thanks
Tod

i got headliner material from Skinner for the TR6. it was not factory style but i really liked it and it fit nicely.

i have bought a lot of parts from Moss so hate to knock them... but recently i find i can get most parts from AH Spares for less money even with the freight. And it only takes a day longer to get. it seems Moss has priced their parts to allow for the extra discounts they give certain people. I think they also mark up their freight. But, you can buy those parts thru someone like Tom's Imports and get the extra discount. Tom"s is a great company to deal with also.

by the way, i think i am across town from you...

I bought new seals, etc. from AH Spares. I don't believe the headliner pieces were available. If you have the originals you might be able to have them refinished.

I bought my headliner material and windlacing from British Car Specialists in Stockton, CA. Had to sew the headliner using the old one as a pettern.

You might also check out Pete Farmer in the UK. I bought a hardtop from him about 3 years ago and his appears to be much closer to original than any others on the market. Googling should find the correct address.

Hi all,
TodE - I am in the same spot as you. Bought a used hardtop sn 4 0959 592 for my MKII roadster.
It came with a new backlight, seals except for the main seal between the top and cockpit rail.
I can't afford over $600 for the seal kit, so looking for someone who may have a scrap piece of this
seal or even a drawing so I can try to source locally.
Can anyone help out ???
