Hi guys,
What's the going price for a BT7 factory hardtop.
Condition:
Crazed Plexiglas, dry rubber, bent extruded aluminum lower edge, good front clasps, multiple layers of paint, and missing rear J-hooks.

Headliner is original, but poor.

I have a friend who has one, and wants to know about the going price or value would be?

Thanks, Roger

Roger, I bought one about 3 years ago on Ebay for $1300. It was in much better shape than the one you described. I replaced the headliner, seals and interior trim, but the paint and window were in very good to excellect condition. Had all the parts except the J hooks. I felt fortunate to find one in this condition for the price I paid.

Hi Roger,

If you have photos that we can have a look , this way it possible to make a estimate of the value.

Some photos.
One shot is of the new rear window rubber.

Any ideas what the current market value may be?

Cheers, Roger

Hi Roger

By now you should have receive a lot of offer for that top and know what the people are ready to pay for it......i will say between 1200 and 1500 . It a 1800$ job to restore it + 30 to 40 hres. of funny work .

Nice looking top. I got my hardtop on ebay also. It was in good shape but had some crazing and small bubbles in the finish. My head liner had 2 small tears, the windlacing was worn and the rubber gaskets were cracked. I had the top recoated and repainted with AlGrip. I cleaned up the metal trim pieces after they were removed from the top and got a kit of gaskets, weatherstripping and windlacing from Moss who got the componets from Bolton Healeys who sourced the parts from Cape International from the UK. They have everything for your top. The windlacing and weatherstripping are a little smaller than the original but it worked fine. I also replaced the headliner with a material that is as close to the original that I could find. I am very happy with the results. Ive got almost $2,000 into the restored top.Try Cape International. They are a great source.
