BT7 bonnet question

Howdy all! I'm going to look at a '59 BT7 next week, and in the photos sent by the owner, the bonnet has the little crease accent running down the middle. I had thought that this was unique to the 100-6, but I simply cannot tell from the reference materials. Was this also a feature on the early BT7 cars as well?

Advice and guidance are, as always, appreciated!

There has always been speculation about that. In one of Geoff Healey's books (maybe the last one), seems like he alludes to the possibility that some were used on later cars during a shortage of non-ribbed hoods.

I would think that the flange (were the hinge mounts up) would have your car's body number on it if it was original.

I agree withy Randy, on the old 100/6 that I had, the chassis number was on the hinge tag that held the bonnet prop. Compare that with the data on the fire wall / bulkhead, the numbers should be the same if original.
