Don, I think you may be misremembering slightly ... sounds like you are talking about the "Tech Talk" volumes that were published by TRSC. They do contain mostly content by Ken G. (since he is the club's technical secretary) but there was some content by other authors (including Steve Hedke of British Pacific, Marty Lodawer and ISTR Steve Balfour). They're also only 1/4" thick at best.
Unfortunately they've been out of stock for a long time; and although there was talk of reprinting them some years ago, I don't believe anything ever came of it. Last I heard, the master copies could not be located, and it was felt by some that making copies of a copy was not acceptable. There's also a relatively small proportion of sidescreen owners in the club today, and even fewer that are interested in modifying their cars (which seemed to be the subject of most of the articles).
There was also some smoke and noise about a volume 4, but it likewise died down without ever producing results.
I do have the set, though, and if there is a lot of interest (and I can obtain the club's permission), I might be able to turn them into PDF files.
