Brussels Sprouts on the Stalk

Sturbridge sprouts:

clean 'em, steam 'em, butter 'em, toss in a handful of chopped roasted peanuts and sprinkle with nutmeg.

No converters required!

Saw an article about the little cabbages in today's paper....slice them & fry thin.
 
All this talk about stalks and I have never seen em sold that way.

Slice in 1/2 longways
Fry flat side down.

Add whatever...

I like Bearnaise on mine.
My Dad puts pine nuts, butter & garlic on his.

I don't think you'll ever find them in the store like that Jack. Some farmers sell them that way as it's cheaper for them, less work and cheaper for the general public. I love the things, but I too need the, "cat back" system.
