Trailered home my new TR4. CT 11959 L which (I think) makes it a 62? Engine number CT 16843E. The TR4 has had a frame off which was started in 1988, but never finished. The engine, trans, suspension and rear end have all been rebuilt. There's no rust, but parts are missing lost in the mechanics shop which was a couple of buildings full of TRs and MGs. He's going to continuue to look for them and is a really nice guy, but I've got a little bit of a bad feeling about the missing parts. Fenders just have a few bolts holding them on. Bumpers are rechomed (but missing) and the engine is just the block and top end at this point. Lots to do /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Surrey top, too - good score!

Let me know if you need a set of stock wheels and new hubcaps...

The parts you have there look fantastic. I don't think you'll have much trouble filling in the missing pieces. I am soooo jealous!

Good luck!

Wow, thats what a TR4 Floor pan looks like? I've never seen one. I thought they were all brown, full of seams and rivets with patches of my garage floor.

Nice score.

Nice solid base to start with. And the Surry top!
That'll be a beautiful car when done.
I'm parting out a TR4A, so if you get stuck for some obscure piece, lemme know.
good luck

Most exciting day of the start or a restoration. Lots of work but worth it in the final analysis. Good luck with it, you are in the right place to get help with the restoration and those missing Brit Bits.

Larry,
That little jewel would fit perfectly around my "free" 4-banger. You are very fortunate to have found such a solid car.

I do hope you pull the body and put it on a rotisserie to make it perfect. Would be a shame not to.
