Broken Wheel Stud Removal

I snapped one off almost flush with the hub just as I was completing the disk brake conversion. What is the best way to remove this? Can the remains be drilled out?

It just popped right out in an embarrasingly obvious kind of way. Thanks. Yes, they will all be replaced but as the car has no engine it won't be gonig anywhere anytime soom.

They do go bad, especialy when over tightened with an impact wrench over 40 years.

If you ever get a stubborn one and don't have access to a shop press, you can use a vise and a socket. Place the open side of the socket, larger than the stud head, over the stud head and against one of the vise jaws; the other vise jaw bears against the threaded end of the stud. Use a little PB Blaster, maybe even soaking overnight. When you begin to tighten the vise, even the stubborn stud will usually ease right out, head first into the socket.
