British Invasion @ Stowe, VT

Seems like a good time to bump this up on the threads list. Surprised I didn't get any response to the first post; we're going and would love to meet any BCF'rs in attendance. Shucks, might even buy you (& yours) a drink.

Look for our red SP250 w/Maryland tags over along the fence in the "other" class.

I'd heard it was a tad muddy that year, but didn't know how bad. Good pics.

The upper event field should be a lot better if it rains much. When are you arriving? and where staying?

That S2000 is one sweet looking set of wheels!!!

Hi Dart,

All that early morning mud made for some great photographs, but a great deal of extra work for the car owners.

I arrive in NH Friday and head up to Stowe early Saturday morning. I am spending Saturday evening at the Top Notch Resort in Stowe.

Are you still planning to make it up to VT? If so, where are you staying? I will keep my eyes open for your SP with the MD plates and say hello and buy you a beer!

Cheers Rich

Rich- I have a "no Interstates if possible" mandate from SWMBO so we're trailering up on Thurs as far as Waitsfield to stay with friends & then to Stowe Fri. Want to do the afternoon drive event. We're staying at Ye Olde England. Look forward to meeting you.

Sounds like you have a nice trip planned. I love Waitsfield, nice town.

I stayed at Ye Olde England in 05. It was a great location
with a good pub and nice outdoor porch lunch area.

They were all booked this trip, so I ended up the Mountain Road a bit further.

I will try to track you down on the concours field Saturday morning.

See you in VT,
Rich

It was great to meet you, too, Rich. Your pics are a nice reminder of how muddy it was. I thank you for the pics on page 7, almost looks as wet as it was (lol). Was hoping you had a shot of the AC Bristol that was at the end of our grouping, I want to find the formula for that original Black Pearl color. We had a long, boring tow home...but without incident. We took off early Sunday morning so have no idea who the winners were. We did reserve our room for next year just in case.

Hi Dale,

I just booked my travel for the summer season. I will be in Stowe for 08.

Staying at Snowflake Resort Friday and Saturday nights.

Hope to see you there.

Rich

Rich- as luck would have it, our national Daimler meeting has been moved to the same weekend as Stowe. I'm going to miss it!!!!
Thinking of going to their August vintage car meet just to be up there.

Either way, hope you have DRY wx.

Ooh that sucks.
The TRials are 11/12/13.
Tough to get from Tn to Vt overnight...

Nice job Bob, really captured the feel (damp) of the event. Only thing missing was the dozens of hay bales being spread around the vendor/food tent. Missing it this year for a conflicting Daimler event; hope to be there again next year.
