British car TV shows?

Anyone know of any regular TV shows that feature British and/or American classic cars? I thought I saw one on SpeedTV a while back. I watched a show that featured classic motorcycle restorations and wondered about cars...

Dave:

Along with other stuff on Speed TV, there is an excellent series of shows called "Victory by Design". Available in DVD at:
https://www.victorybydesign.com/

ESPN2 (sports cable-TV channel) also shows an occasional SCCA road-race. History (cable TV channel) has also had some good car-stuff on from time-to-time. Check local listings (they also have websites).

Honestly, I always prefer to see these old crocks in-the-flesh. I'm sure there are shows in your area (big one in Waynesboro, VA in Oct.):

Since you're not too far from VIR, you may want to see some of these cars in action:

And while I'm at it, if you'd like to see several club-racing Sprites in-the-flesh (including mine) we'll be at Summit Point (WV) on Nov 20 and 21. No admission.

I think it's funny how big our show is, here at the park, because I really didn't realize it was that big. Everyone with several hundred miles seems to know about it! That's awesome. Everyone should come down and enter their car. That way I get to meet people off the forum too.

Catch Legends of Motorsports on Speed -- usually 7am pacific on thursdays (I think.) It's all old racing footage, most from BMC, Triumph and Rootes PR films. Great Rally and Lemans coverage

Thanks. I'll have to check the day/time here on the east coast. Any idea what their show My Classic Car is about?

Sammy You have to get a different sig. picture. No ones garage should be that neat! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif If my wife ever saw that!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif Brian /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIF

Dave,
My Classic Car is a fun little show. It stars Dennis Gage (who has a huge handlebar mustache.) There are three segments to the show. The first segment is going through cars at a car show -- they do everything from the Vancouver BC All British Show, to Corvettes at Carlisle and Amelia Island Concours. The second segment is a parts and services section, and usually it's just a paid-advertising spot about weatherstripping, car audio, insurance, lubricants etc... The final segment is usually a garage tour or test drive. They have done many of Leno's cars -- Duesey, Stanley Steamer, tank-engine hot rod.

Brian,
My garage usually doesn't look that neat. I spent an hour today picking it up, because there was junk everywhere -- boxes, nuts and bolts, garbage, and tools strewn about. Even in this picture, you just can't see the piles of stuff, because I moved them to be obscured by the cars in the pic.

I've been watching Fifth Gear on the Speed Channel on Mondays. This week they did a review on the MGF (the test driver didn't like it) Also on the DIY channel A Car is Reborn is a very interesting show. Mark Evans restored an XKE, Triumph Bonneville, Harley, and built a helicopter.
