British car show in Clearwater Fl 10/28

i responded to an email that came from the british car club in the area, lookiing closer at the car, im guessint it used to have a fair amount of rust, but it has new floor panels, and new sills in it, the only rust visible on the car now is the actual body where it was sanded and primed but not sealed, and its surface rust, dotn get me wrong this is not a pretty car (yet) but it is straight, and has awesome potential. Iguess i should start tinkering and see if it runs, or if i need to replace the motor before i get in too far (there are two spares, so i can go through one and know its going to run once everything is hooked up correctly)
wish me luck, im going to need lots of it

With TWO spare engines, no less! Great score!

After seein' your Jag, I'd say you only need time. "Luck" has nothing to do with it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I think I like that Lotus, wonder what Miss Agatha would say about a garage mate. Naa, it has slantly eyes. But I still like it.

How do they run? Anyone have the chance?

cool it worked, more pics to follow, you can see the rust at the leading edgse of the hood, but i have two spare hoods so thats not a big deal, only other places i see rust is on the i guess you would call it a filler strip that runs alonng the top of the rear panels, and at the front same strip by the fender, is this psomethign i can fix relatively easily , or do the panels have to come off?

*GASP*!! A factory hardtop!!

Wow,
with all those extra parts you mentioned, that is one great find!

is the factory hard top a good thing? i think its missing some hardware up where the convertible top attaches, but i havenever seen one before , guess im goign to have to get a few books!

this car came with enough part to **** near build a couple mor ecars..lol havent gone through the pile yet, but the spares filled the back of the pickup truck that towed the trailer, filled the trunk of the B, filled the 4 feet in frotn of the car once on the trailer, and also had parts wedged under the car, plus there were 7 5 gallon buckets full of god know what inside the car(there is only one seat in the car, but there are 3 more in teh stash)

Or sojourn down here to look at one "up-close"...

Wanna sell the ratty ol' UGLY thing instead of messin' with it?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif
