The 36[SUP]th[/SUP] British Car Day® is just 83 days away and is scheduled for Sunday 15[SUP]th[/SUP] September 2019 at Bronte Creek Provincial Park off Burloak Drive in Oakville. If you haven’t already, please include this important date in your calendar and mention it in communications with your fellow LBC owners.

For this year’s British Car Day® we are delighted to announce that The Great War Flying Museum will be performing at the show with SE5a (pictured above), Camel and Fokker WW1 replica airplanes.

2019 is a super year for anniversary cars and those featured at British Car Day® 2019 will be:

  • Austin / Morris Mini celebrating 60 years.
  • Austin Healey 3000 celebrating 60 years.
  • Daimler SP250 celebrating 60 years.
  • Sunbeam Alpine Series 1 celebrating 60 years.
  • Triumph Herald celebrating 60 years.
  • Ford Capri celebrating 50 years.

In addition Morgan is celebrating its 110th anniversary this year ... and still going strong!

This year’s electronic poster shows an artist’s impression of Timo Makinen and Paul Easter’s winning Mini at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally. 18” x 24” posters will be available at British Car Day for $5 and an electronic image is available at http://www.torontotriumph.com/suite/list/links.php?id=103

We are delighted to have 7 returning sponsors this year:
  • Exotic Motorworks - Platinum Sponsor.
  • Crescent Oil, visit Oakville - Gold Sponsors.
  • Lant Insurance, Autoglym - Silver Sponsors.
  • Hagerty Classic Car Insurance, Edward Jones Investments - Bronze Sponsors.
A huge thank you to all our sponsors for their support in making British Car Day® a success.

“Fast lane”, our British Car Day® pre-registration, is now available at http://torontotriumph.com/BCD/html/registration.html and will be open until 9[SUP]th[/SUP]September. Pricing at $15 per car and $10 per motorbike is the same as it has been for many years and you can pre-register up to 4 cars and 4 motorbikes at a time. Some people have experienced some annoying messages when registering such as “cart empty”. If you see this error, try clearing the cache (i.e. internet history) on your PC which should do the trick. Some MACs can be problematic too so if that’s an issue, please try to register using a PC. Once you have successfully completed the Fast Lane process you will immediately receive a PayPal auto receipt in your e-mail which is proof that your registration has been received. We will send you a PDF of your window card via e-mail which you will need to print out and display when entering the park. NOTE: We prepare the window cards in batches of 50 so you won’t necessarily receive it immediately, but please be patient – your card WILL arrive in plenty of time for the show!

If you prefer to pay at the gate the cost remains at $20 per car and $10 for a motorbike and to save time on the day you can down load the registration form available at http://www.torontotriumph.com/suite/list/links.php?id=104complete it and bring it along to the show.

The vendor area is filling up fast and there will be the usual fabulous array of over 60 British-related vendors offering their new and used goods for sale, including car parts, complete cars, t-shirts, hats, tools, books, supplies, and so on. Many vendors offer end-of-season specials, so there are lots of bargains to be had and great food is available from the many food vendors on site. If you would like to be a vendor at our show details can be found on our web site at www.BritishCarDay.com

The excellent glossy British Car Day programme will include a map of the BCD area, a history of our featured cars, interesting facts, a list of vendors and companies advertising a full range of classic car parts, products and services. The BCD Programme will be provided at no cost to all registered car owners. FAST LANE registrants will receive it at the main gate and "pay-on-the-day" British car owners will receive theirs when they register at the registration building.

British Car Day is a rain or shine event and we hope that we continue the tradition with a brilliant warm sunny day as we experienced last year. There were over 1,000 show cars on the field in 2018 and it was a marvellous sight!

If you are staying overnight on Saturday, you may want to take in a drive which we are planning on the Saturday afternoon before BCD which will be led by locals. More information will be provided closer to the time as will hotel discounts.

Wish I was closer. It looks like a lot of fun.
