British Car Day in Brookline, MA

Great day. Great people and fun. NO RAIN. Paul is right, it was hot. Nice cars all over. There was not one junker on the field. I love that place and will return for Day of the Triumph, July 27.

BobbyD you missed it. Who is that good looking guy arriving late in the red TR6? Erik (Her Majesty’s Service) is very cool. https://www.hermajestysservice.com/home.html

Thanks Paul for the nice shots. See you on the 7/27/08.

Paul:

Some great shots & almost real time. One tip though, if you shoot the Marque badge before each set of photos it adds a little indexing to the slideshow. Not that we didn't know what 98% of them were anyway!

Did I see some Ferrrrrarrris in there?

Gary,

First time that I've done PhotoBucket. I really didn't plan to do any marque pictures, but the AC marque is not that common and there were quite a few originals there, so I snapped the shot of it.

I have to give you guys some work to do when you look, you know.....

For you inquiring minds who want to see a lot more Triumph's plus MG's, Jags, Healey's Lotus's, etc., from the British Car Day Show, please look here:

Paul.......nice pictures....thanks for posting them.

Al...yea I missed it but my car was filthy after spending most every day this past week at the Quarter Midget Eastern National races. Everything is covered in a nice layer of Meriden dirt. But golf was great...went out in 39 and came back in 39 so I was happy. I've got their July Triumph show on my calendar.

Well, well, well.....

Isn't that interesting? 39+39 = 78 :thankyousign:

I think that I'll be getting a few shots from you Robert. :winner1:

Thanks for sharing.....

And caring.

Now don't start going off topic on me here. Par 69 & 70 courses are generally tougher than par 71 or 72 courses due to the lack of additional par fives, but an over abundance of tougher par fours.

Nice try Bob, nice try, indeed......

Despite the morning drizzle turned out bloomin' hot.

Couple of extra (all important) shots:

Got to say I like the old 'uns but the new Elises look mighty tasty.

Gary - sorry I missed you there. Where were you hiding?

Rob.

Great show as usual, Not quite as many cars as there has been in the past, maybe people held off coming because it looked so much like rain in the morning. The real high light of the show, for me at least, was the gorgeous pale green Standard 10 that showed up. Looked in excellent condition inside and out. Looked great mechanically and was for sale for only $6500. Would have bougt that in a heart beat if I had th room and the spare cash.

Rob,

If you look over the black beauty to the left of the red rocket, you will see my car with the hood open and a guy with a long white beard and another guy with a green shirt standing there. Look over the left shoulder of the green shirt and directly behind my car you will see Al standing with a light blue shirt on.

Rob:

I think I was working in the garage, on my 1960 Boston Whaler my son & I are restoring. Car is still up on blocks, under some lawn chair cushions!

Some day, some day!
