British Car Day in Brookline, MA

Paul:
I am planning on it. Just looking at the weather. Scattered showers are forecast, Might go anyway. I like it up there. It is a nice trip and the grounds and food are good. BobbyD is not going this time.

Are you going?

Yes, I plan to go Al. Rob will be bringing the Lotus, not his 250.

Sorry, but I don't go that route Al. I'm just north of Providence, so I go 95 to 128 to RT 1 right into Brookline.

Well, all righty then. That then is maybe a 45 min drive for you? 1-1/2 hour for me. I will be leaving about 8:30 or so. I should be arriving about 10-10:30. I usually stop on the Pike for a McD's pancake sausage breakfast. Just hope the weather holds up.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I was wondering what you paid to have your bumpers rechromed. They look awesome and would like to get my done this winter. Thanks

Don't forget that they are now serving breakfast brunch at the museum.

Jerry,

I've got to look that up. It wasn't cheap, but they came out perfect. I think that it was around $1,200, taxes and all, but that included welding in pieces on the rear bumper to fill in where the overriders have a slot on 74's only. Tedious work, but you would never know there was a slot on either side.

Paul, if it is raining here I will not start out unless I can get a good weather fix on the day. I don't mind getting caught in the rain. That is why they included the top. But I will not drive out into it unless the destination is sunny. Keep your fingers crossed for a decent day

Agreed Al. I feel the same way.

If it's wet, I stay home and work on my website, which I am WAY behind on.

National Weather Service

Boston weather 6/29/08:

Sunday: A chance of showers, mainly between noon and 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Areas of fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 84.

See you in July at Day of Triumph. Maybe it will stop raining every single day by then!

Hi Folks,

Just driving thru.

Wish I could go as I`ve never been to the Museum. It really looks like a Great Gathering place.

Weather here in PA is not looking good at all. Wet, Wet & Wetter!

Wishing All a Sunny Day,

Russ

I am planning to go from Hartford to Brookline to the show. I am trying to gather Doppler, satellite and other information to get a guess as to where the bad weather is coming from and when. I am not having much success. Can someone out there give me a link to a weather site that has real time radar of CT/MA or New England area? I need to know where the weather is now, the form it is in, how fast it is moving and the direction. You know, weather stuff.

OK, it was very damp, cool and foggy (yeah, I know, it's New England) driving in, but by the time Al found his way there, it was flat out hot!!!

Al finally did make it and I have the proof below, along with a treat for you Wedge Heads. Al and Erik make a great tuning discussion team. This was before we consumed great sausage sandwiches at the food tent.

And also a smart Sunbeam owner with excellent taste in color for his exterior finish.
