British AA breakdown service

I locked my keys in my van today. In pouring rain and terrible cell-phone service. After much phone-disconnecting effort (mostly with my older daughter, who arranged my rescue), the AAA man came and opened the door.

So, in that vein, here are some classic shots of the British AA men and their breakdown/phoneboxes

Those phone boxes look like a different kind of convenience. Might be embarrassing if you mistook one for...well...maybe we shouldn't go there.

Quite a service really. Have seen the van pull up, open rear doors, push button and out comes a car dolly. Most are able to proform small repairs. Wish we had them here.
