Lynda and I are planning to drive up from N.C. in our white rubber bumper BGT. I guess its time to give it a look/see so its ready for the 11 hour drive!

In case you're out, come to Townsend the next weekend!

As of 4/28/15 the weather forecast is high of 63 and 60% chance of rain. The forecast better change or I'm out.....

I don't blame you. I'm only 3 miles from it and it would still be a pain in the neck.

For the record, as of right now (Thurs - 4 PM), weather.com says Saturday is supposed to be partly cloudy with 20% chance of rain.

Forecast appears good again. We are almost ready to head out Friday morning. I need to clean the car since its last outing was in the rain and I do drive the car a lot.

Great! Looking forward to seeing you guys.

And it's about time you posted here!

GT ran good most of the way to N.J. Developed a stumble but nothing to worry about right now. Biggest issue we have is finding a car wash. We had almost 5 hours driving in the rain at the beginning of the trip. We are about 30 miles out and are at 620 miles today to get to the motel. Maybe another 20 miles going to dinner and hunting a car wash. No oil used and 28 MPG first tank. 2nd tank was 25 MPG. Traffic up here sucks! Still having fun!

We don't have traffic here in Townsend... :smirk:

Just pulling your chain - have a great time!

Nial,
We got caught up with a old friend and his wife. We spent most of the day and early dinner with them. I did not get near my car very much. Nice event and great weather. We just got back home. A tad over 1300 miles of fun. We'll meet one day!
Bob

Glad you had a good time and a safe ride home. Indeed, we'll meet one of these days.

That car looks nice enough that I can see why you aren't afraid to drive it 1300 miles. I've taken my MGB on a 250 mile cruise but that's about my limit before I get nervous.

I'll try to put up some photos of the event soon.

Nial
