Brew Your Own Gasoline...

Well I dunno. Maybe it's good, maybe it isn't. All I know is my HOA weenies (ie: Mrs. Bucket and friends) might make a comment or two.

S. America has been doing it for a while.
Sugar that is.

Problem with that is, if you don't modify the fuel system over to stainless steel lines and a special rubber blend o-ring, you're going to ruin your fuel system, have leaks, and possibly a fire.

There's also that little thing of while the octane is higher, ethanol has lower BTU's so when you compare the use of ethanol vs gas, you'll notice lower mpgs with ethanol.

Nice idea, but I don't feel like spending the money for fuel system mods. If I did, I'd be driving a diesel VW Rabbit, and I would be running a waste oil conversion.

Unbelievable, making those who try to do their part to make our nation less dependent on foreign oil register as certified grease haulers. It's the equivalent of requiring someone to get a combustible fuel carting permit if he wants to fill his red plastic gas can so he can go home and fill his lawnmower.
I'm convinced that there are days when, if I grit my teeth any harder, my molars are going to blow out of my cheeks! :madder:

And that story just seems to talk about the state gov't. Wait until the Federal Department of Revenue starts getting active into the home brewed and untaxed alternative fuels. Yes, those same 'Revenuers' that went after, and are still going after, moonshiners. For the same reason too.

My tongue is numb. :madder:

Thomthinth do do wif th' rulez...

Wow, a vodka machine, and in my back yard yet! Time to plant orange and lime trees.

Yet another subject I have to refrain myself from commenting on.

Hey, I didn't mean for this thread to get political...I thought it was interesting (& a good way to get rid of old booze!)....

{{Also, coming up with alternative fuels is neat & has no relation to so-called 'global warming'...its just something inventive minds do....& buying hybrids just because a person wants to save personal fuel costs doesn't have anything to do with 'global warming' either....the person might just like the design of the car.....& buying natural foods because they're better for a person or because they taste fresher also has nothing to do with 'global warming'....a person can be green just because it provides a better lifestyle for themselves....there, now I've said my piece!!}}

Maybe this is an "alternate" fuel??

hehehe...no, that's the crap you got from Pedro!

Dale, that looks like a drink I once had in the Pacific.

Anyway, I would like to see the government mileage rating on a wood gas powered vehicle. Perhaps something like MPC for mile per cord....

I think it's more like th' crap pumped from a local holding tank than Pedro!

This is my interpretation of dealing with the government. They have us coming and going!

I believe Jeff Dunham's puppet Walter said it best when they recorded their show in DC.

"I get screwed every year in my taxes! It's finally nice to come to the source!"
