I just received a document that is many pages long, but is in a continuous format and I would like to separate each page to pull up individually. How can I do this? It now opens with Word pad, maybe Office, which I don't have. PJ

Get a copy of Open Office. It's a free download and will open .docx (Word 2007/2010) files and allow you to format and edit them.

Paul, you say you can open the document with Wordpad. So why not just use Wordpad's File / Page Setup (or whatever) to change the size of the page?

I'd try doing that before going through all the hoops of downloading and installing OpenOffice. OpenOffice is an excellent office suite (text, spreadsheet, math, drawing, presentation, etc.); I use it myself for "heavy duty" stuff), with lots of features, bells and whistles. But you say you can open the document with Wordpad, so why not just use the Wordpad page setup?

I have been doing a bit of spreadsheet stuff lately- making graphs and stuff from temperature data. I thought i could use Open office.... unfortunately it just doesn't crunch numbers like excel.

Tom, I downloaded Open Office and it's a great program, along with being free, I couldn't ask for more. I never really cared for Word pad, no special reason, but Open Office, I like! Also user friendly. PJ
