Brass Carb Dampers?

Hi all,

I am wondering if a 1966 TR4A originally came with brass carburetor dampers on the SU's. If they did, where would I be able to obtain some?

I have seen them on some tricarb Jags, and they really look nice. But, if not provided as original, I won't use them.

Thank You

Great! I'm fine with the black plastic ones then. Thank You!

Generally, I think the older "H" series SU carbs had the brass-top dampers, while the newer "HS" series had the plastic-top ones.

Andy, Did the 4As have HS carbs? Tom

They sure did. They came with both Strombergs and HS6's. My 1966 TR4A (CTC62483L) has HS6's.

Tom,

Yes, both of my TR4As came with SU HS6's as well.
