Brakes stuck , advice please

the rear brakes are stuck to the hubs on the rear of my 1958 sprite that I just brought from Flordia. it has been sitting for 5 years. I pulled on brake drum off today. drum and brakes are in good shape.

I would assume the wheel cylinders are stuck not letting the drums colaspe? I am just trying to get car to roll easily so I can take home on trailer and park in my garage by myself.

I will rebuild all the brakes completely once I get home and on jacks. Car is in the parking lot of where I work and don't have alot of time to tear it apart there

How do I get drums to colaspe.................hammer?

check the e brake? disconnect the cable at the wheels and see if that helps.

If the wheel cylinders are free check the rubber hoses. They collapse from the inside and will block any backflow.

line up the drum with the adjuster and turn it counter clockwise slotted screwhead on cam. 1 on each rear drum 2 on the fronts.Unless you have front disk's

If you just need to roll the car around, just pull the brake shoes off all together. You are going to be replacing all your brake hardware anyway, right?

You know that make sense, fast and easy. I glanced at the retention springs are they twist and release?

What was I thinking....at the last minute before taken all the brakes apart, I realize all I had to do was adjust brakes down with adjuster..Ready to take home now.

if the break light switch is to far in the pedal dosenot return all the way

i learned that one the hard way and the expenive way
