In another thread these units were discussed -- they pulse the brake lights a few quick times with each use. One issue for some of us is finding a model that will work with positive ground (w/o an elaborate work-around or hack).
I contacted one seller and he agreed to make me a positive ground version of the unit he sells. He tells me that his units work with either incandescents or LEDs and can be used for the entire set of brake lights (up to 12a). Here is his update:

Quote:]Thank you for the payment. I started work on your flashers this evening. I thought I could just modify the existing design but it didn't work so I am starting over from scratch. It may take a little longer than a week like I initialy told you. Will that be a problem? Hopefully just a day or two. I need to make a new PCB layout and then build a prototype and test it, and then on to making an actual product that I can sell. Once the design is done, I can easily mass produce these so it will be no problem for in the future as others order them. I just wish I had thought to do this sooner. I guess I didn't realize there was a need for these for people running a positive ground system.
As for future sales....the price would be $18.00 plus $1.80 shipping in the lower 48. Outside the lower 48 the shipping would be by location but the price would still be $18 US dollars. This price is for British car owners only though.
Thanks again and let me know if you have any other questions. I will keep you updated.[/QUOTE]
So, I should have one soon and will report here on how it works. Meanwhile, the seller (Cody) can be contacted at ck-dot-technologies-at-hotmail-dot-com.
If you want to see his eBay listing for the negative ground version it is here: eBay listing
BTW -- Cody has a fine looking chrome bumper MGB so he was very understanding of the plight of those of us still living in a positive ground world. NFI of course, just passing along what I have learned & done.
