So I ran the wires down and find that they are supposed to "plug into" a 4 way pressure switch on the passenger side wall in the engine compartment. Notice I said supposed to...I have the wires there, taped up, with no plug on the end, and a 4 way switch waiting for something to plug into it. Can you buy a plug or maybe does anybody have an old one that they can cannibalize and cut off along with a few inches of wires so I can splice it in ??? The part I need is not the plastic pressure switch on the union, but the other side, on the wire harness that plugs into it. I'll post this on Drew's swap list as well.

Thanks

I was never able to find a source for that plug. I recently parted out a 1500 and I'll try to remember to look and see if I have that plug. If you do not hear from me on a few days, then feel free to send me a PM to remind me.

What is the part #... I can't seem to find it?

I think that is the switch... does it include the modular plug for the harness as well?

The one I got had the plug made onto it. the rubber had gotten hard over the years and I had to use a heat gun to soften it in order for the plug to side over the new switch plug. you have to adjust the switch. Use an ohm meter. You can't screw it all the way in.

If this is what you need, I've got one. Pulled it off the 74. I did a quick check, and it did fit the electrical connector on the 4-way that's on the car.

One of the little clip prongs is broken, but a dab of super glue should fix that.

PM me if you want it, and I'll slip it in the mail to you.

The poor soul who is going to buy that shell from you is going to /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif at least once when he finds that part missing...

Imagine what he'll say when he notices the engine is missing... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

"piddlin' DETAIL"!!!!!

Think the shell is already sold, waiting to be picked up.

Drew , exactly what I need , PM sent Thanks

You are correct, Jack, sold to another BCF member to be picked up in a few weeks. I've got other piles of extra bits, though, that I'm still sorting through. Just happened to have the bit Woodie needed.

Got your PM, Woodie, part will be in the mail tomorrow.
