Brake Servo Location

Hi,
I am about to install a Lockheed brake servo in my BJ7, but I have spent quite some time on finding the perfect spot for the servo.
Does anybody have some pictures of the best suitable place for this servo? It is a LHD car.

Someone quite a while ago had one mounted on a TD underneith and behind the side curtian storage box on the driver side. Not helpful to you I'm afraid, but that's the only one I've ever heard of. PJ
 
We have a BJ7 that we had a servo added to some twenty years back, but the car is currently tucked away for the winter. the shop installed it on the starboard side, inside the fender, outboard of the structural frame, towards the foot boxes. We'll be bringing it out at the end of March for a car show (and hopefully not needing to dig it out). I don't know if our location mirrors the original stock Healey location, but phone me at 403 890-7143 towards then as a reminder and I'll take some pictures. Doug

Are there strong arguments against this position?

Use the correct vacuum hose - ours was installed by a pretty decent shop, but the hose that they used to connect to the vacuum collapsed. And my big reason for putting the servo in was that I was concerned that my mental/muscle reflexes are surrounded by power assisted brakes, and that I might not hit the pedal as firmly as necessary in a panic stop. Honestly don't know if that is a real risk, nor actually how much assist I'm getting. Hopefully hook up some time with a non-assisted Healey and compare. Have fun! Doug
