Brake rotor questions

Re: Brake rotor & brake questions

Came across an article here on the net about cross drilled disks, was interesting, wish I'd saved it :frown:

Re: Brake rotor & brake questions

I did a search and could not find anything.

I got the rotors today and started prepping all the parts. I have Powder coated cross member and all the other parts have been blasted, etched primed and black polyurethane coated. A steering rack has also been prepped and filled. King pins are rebuilt and calipers check out ok. A few more bits and I'm set.

Gotta get some pads, and bump stops and I think I am ready.

Re: Brake rotor & brake questions

As long as they have not been overextended from worn out pads and they function smoothly and you are able to depress them easily? If so, they should be fine.

Re: Brake rotor & brake questions

Good. I put them in the vice and to depress the pistons. The pads that were in them were still fairly thick so they were not out very far.
