Brake problem

thanks guys.
Brinkerhoff- adjusting the shoes up tight to the drums was one of the first things I did on all 4 wheels, as well as checking to make sure the post with the little felt pad was properly aligned. When I had the shoes relined I had them arc'd to the drums. I'll try it again and see if I can isolate the issue.

Abarth69- good to see another Fiat/ Healey owner here. Aside from my obsession with Healeys, I somehow have managed to gather a collection of Fiat 124 Sport Coupes- a '68, a '71, and 3 '72's, all with various states of rust! Any Fiat is a cool Fiat, but your double-bubble 750gt is really special!

Take care-
Austin

First of all many thanks to you all for your advice.

I decided to install another master cylinder, benchbled it, set all brakes and it works.

Took the other one back, which, like Bob Spidell mentioned, was a "Gold Classic" and they exchanged it without any questions. So possibly it was a defective one but I'll probably never know.

Anyway, the brakes now function well.
