I was told when I got this US 1976 Spitfire it needed a master cylinder because pedal was stuck. I removed it and it's fine what should I look at next?

Which is fine, the pedal or the MC? If the MC, how do you know?

:iagree:
They could even be stuck if it hasn't sat for long. The rear brakes on my Stag had apparently been frozen longer than the PO had owned the car, and he even drove the car to VTR 2006 that way.

Check or replace the rubber hoses too. They can mimic a frozen cylinder or caliper as they tend to start coming apart internally ofter 30 or so years. Tom
